Andrea Semetkeova, Ph.D.

Andrea Semetkeova was born in Slovakia. She was confronted with different cultural values, beliefs and expectations early on, being a member of the Hungarian minority in Slovakia.
Andrea received her doctorate in economics at the University of Economics in Bratislava. Her dissertation focused on intercultural marketing in the People's Republic of China. She conducted extensive market surveys about marketing and distribution in China.
Andrea has lived, studied and worked in Switzerland, Austria, Germany, China and the USA. Today she lectures in intercultural management at Nuertingen-Geislingen University in Germany.
She is married to a Norwegian and has a young son. She loves to travel and feels it's a great advantage that she speaks Hungarian, Slovak, German and English fluently, and has basic knowledge of Russian, Norwegian and Mandarin Chinese.
