With a PhD in law from the University of Zurich, long-standing international business experience, studies in intercultural communication in the USA, and courses in the Psychology of Communication and Psychosynthesis, Christa Uehlinger is an experienced intercultural professional.
She is a lecturer in intercultural management at the University of Applied Sciences in St. Gallen, Switzerland. Additionally, she is an independent intercultural coach and consultant, running her own company—christa uehlinger linking people®—and working with leading companies from different industries, police, doctors, nurses, teachers and multicultural teams.
Christa has lived, worked, and travelled in Europe, Canada, the USA, Australia and Asia. She is a certified administrator of the IDI, a tool to measure intercultural sensitivity, and a Cultural Detective certified facilitator. Her work consists of several published articles on intercultural communication; moreover, she regularly gives speeches on this topic. She is the author of Miteinander verschieden sein, interkulturelle Kompetenz als Schlüssel zur global vernetzten Welt (Versus Verlag, Zurich/Switzerland), and co-author of a game, "Crazy Business Stories Intercultural."
