George Whitfield is a U.S. citizen. He attended university in the United States and Europe and holds a B.A. in history and a J.D. with a concentration in transnational business transactions and comparative legal systems. A resident in Indonesia since 1988, he is now with Executive Orientation Services of Jakarta, which he co-founded.

George has an advanced level of Indonesian language ability and knowledge of Indonesian business customs and culture. With more than 18 years business experience in North America and abroad, his specializations include cross-cultural business management and program coordination. He has extensive experience in conducting training programs in the Southeast Asia. He also brings three years experience in staff management and operations in Washington, D.C., and five years legal practice in the private sector.

Professional affiliations include: the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Indonesia, where he holds the chair of the Security Committee and serves as Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Board of Governors; the Indonesian-Australia Business Council; the Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) for Indonesia, where he is a member of the executive board; and the State Bar of Michigan and the Federal Bar for the Western District of Michigan, U.S.A.
