Kikue Yamamoto, M.A.
Professor, Hosei University; Translator
A management consultant who has worked the interface between Japanese and foreign employees in Japan and abroad for over twenty years, Kikue specializes in intercultural awareness and skills, leadership, management, interpersonal communication, organizational research and executive coaching. Born in Iwaki Prefecture, she worked in Human Resources Education and Training with NUMMI for four years, during the founding of the joint venture between Toyota and General Motors, and was a reporter for Mainichi Newspapers in San Francisco for three years.
Ms. Yamamoto holds a Master’s degree in Communication from the University of New Mexico and a Bachelor’s from Hosei University. She teaches business communication, Japanese culture and intercultural communication at Tohoku University. With Kyoko Yashiro, she co-authored, “Human Relations: The force of multicultural society,” published by Sanshusha.
