Intercultural Competences Consultant and Linguist
Dr. Nayantara Ghosh is an intercultural competences consultant, lecturer, and linguist with extensive international experience in the assessment and development of senior executives and top management teams. A native of India, she has lived and worked in Europe, the United States of America, the Middle East, and Africa. Prior to launching Ghosh International in 1996, Nayantara was an executive for Apple Computer, UNICEF, Neumann Management Consultants, and Korn/Ferry. She successfully managed business and NGO start-ups, organizational transformation, and cultural change.
Nayantara holds a MA in Philology and Pedagogy from the University of Salzburg/Austria, and a PhD from the University of Lausanne/Switzerland in socio-cultural studies. She is fluent in English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish, and also has a basic knowledge of Bengali, Turkish, and Greek. Her lifelong interest in intercultural issues was sparked by her extensive global experience and her bi-cultural upbringing: her mother is Austrian and her father from Bengal. Nayantara brings a deep understanding of different frameworks and ways of working and communicating to her clientele, authenticity, and a mission of trying to open minds, and bring peace by building understanding between cultures—a truly life enriching work.
She and her husband Hikmet, who was born in Istanbul, Turkey, have one son, Benan, and one daughter, Aina. The family is presently residing in Denver, Colorado; they enjoy traveling, outdoor activities of all sorts, and meeting friends from all over the world.
