Alan Richter is the founder and president of QED Consulting. He has consulted to organizations for many years, specialising in strategic consulting services in the human resource development and change management arenas, curriculum design, leadership, business ethics, workforce diversity, globalization, marketing, technology and corporate communications. He is the creator of The Global/Diversity Game®, an award-winning training tool, and co-author of The Global Diversity Survey®, an assessment tool for global professional development. He also co-authored Lost in Cyberspace® a team decision-based tool that explores the nature of global virtual teams, and co-produced Global Words for Global Leaders, a short motivational video on global leadership.

In the area of global diversity he has worked closely with the following organizations: American Express, Avon, BellSouth, Chubb, Deloitte, Delphi, Detroit Edison, Gartner, GE, Home Depot, KPMG, NASA, Nokia, Pfizer, Principal, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Prudential, PSEG, RBS, UBS, the United Nations and many of its agencies (FAO, UNICEF, UNDP, WHO, etc), and Wharton. He has worked in Africa, Asia and Europe, in addition to the US.

Dr. Richter, who resides in New York, has an M.A. and a B.A.B.Sc. from the University of Cape Town, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Birkbeck College, London University.
