Rebecca Parrilla leads the design and implementation of intercultural development programs at Language & Culture Worldwide, supporting organizations in their goals to incorporate cross-cultural competencies and skills into their worldviews, systems, and workflows. She works specifically with global diversity and inclusion programs, incorporating a variety of cultural perspectives present across national cultures, ethnic groups, generations, genders, and LGBT experiences. She has lived and worked for extended periods in Asian, Latin American, and North American cultures and is a native of Puerto Rico.

A native of Puerto Rico and speaker of both English and Spanish, Rebecca got her start in developing cross-cultural skills when she moved to the U.S.A. mainland to attend university and rapidly realized that U.S. American culture cannot be "learned" from simply knowing the language and watching American TV. She spent several years with global banking giant ABN AMRO, where she designed solutions for corporate clients in Latin America, Europe, Asia and Australia. She later earned an MBA from DePaul University in Chicago, and then took a full-time teaching position at Shanghai Dianji University in China. In her years at SDJU, she was responsible for the development and delivery of creative English language programming.

Rebecca also has on-the-ground experiences in various European countries (west and east), Australia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, and India. Clients include Discover Financial Services, Hewitt Associates, Monsanto, and the Project Management Institute.
