Kate Berardo specializes in global skill building, leadership development, intercultural transitions, and diverse teams. She has developed and delivered learning events in more than eighteen countries with individuals from over fifty nations using both online and traditional facilitation tools. Her work has been featured in media worldwide, including on CNN’s Business Traveller and in the Dubai Daily Gulf News. Currently, Kate is the Head of Leadership Development for Facebook. She is also the founder of Culturosity.com.
Kate holds a distinguished Master’s in Intercultural Communication from the University of Bedfordshire, UK, is a summa cum laude graduate of Northwestern University in the USA, and is certified in a variety of personality and cultural assessments. She has co-authored two books, Building Cultural Competence: Innovative Tools and Activities, and Putting Diversity to Work; packages in the Cultural Detective Series (Self-Discovery and Bridging Cultures); and numerous articles, manuals, blog posts, and training materials. Her best-known research profiled the intercultural field and debunked the popular “U-curve” model of adjustment.
Raised in California, she has also lived in Japan, Spain, France, England, and Denmark. Her work and travel to over sixty countries have given her a deep understanding of the intricacies of bridging boundaries and barriers.
