President, Lucy Shahar Cross-Cultural Training and Consulting

Lucy Shahar, M.A.

Lucy Shahar is a specialist in cross-cultural communication and training. She has extensive experience as a consultant for corporate and organizational clients in Israel and abroad. She designed and directed courses in cross-cultural training and management for universities and social service organizations. Currently, she is a member of the faculty of Haifa University where she teaches intercultural training and communication.

Lucy Shahar and David Kurz are the authors of Border Crossings: American Interactions With Israelis (Intercultural Press, 1995). She is the author of Culture Compass Israel, a CD ROM produced by Trompenaars Hampden-Turner Intercultural Management Publishers, 1999.

Born in the United States, Lucy grew up in New York City. She received a B.A. in European history from Barnard College and a M.A. in teaching from Harvard University. She is a graduate of the SIETAR Institute in Foundations of Intercultural Training, the SIETAR Advanced Institute in Intercultural Training (Georgetown University) and the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland's Third International Program: "A Gestalt Approach to Organization and Systems Development." Lucy has lived in Ramat Hasharon since her immigration to Israel in 1969.
