Lionel F. Laroche, Ph.D.

Lionel Laroche has provided cross-cultural training, coaching, and consulting services for nearly 20 years to more than 20,000 people in a variety of countries including Belgium, Bermuda, Canada, China, France, Hong Kong, Korea, Mexico, Peru, Switzerland, Turkey, UAE, UK, and USA. His speciality is in helping technical professionals reap the benefits of cultural differences in their work. A dynamic, entertaining, and educational speaker, he has presented at over 200 conferences and venues, organized by a wide range of business, government, academic, professional, and non-profit organizations. Lionel’s clients include several multinational companies including, Xerox, Procter & Gamble, British Petroleum, and Jeumont-Schneider.

Lionel has authored many publications examining the impact of cultural differences on business in general and technical functions. His publications have appeared in over numerous trade magazines published in eight countries. He has also written a book, Managing Cultural Diversity in Technical Professions, published by Butterworth Heinemann, as part of the Managing Cultural Differences Series.

Born in France, Lionel obtained his Diplôme d’Ingénieur Polytechnicien from the Ecole Polytechnique de Paris, and his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, California.
