Intercultural Coach and Consultant
Elena Shliakhovchuk has been an intercultural coach and consultant since 2009, specializing in customized, interactive cross-cultural, repatriation and integration programs for adults, young talents, and children. Her passion about games-based learning informs her training and coaching. She is an author of several tools for developing cultural awareness about Ukraine.
For more than 15 years, Elena has worked in and intensively visited a wide range of countries including Canada, China, Germany, India, Israel, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, UAE, UK, and USA working side-by-side in daily interactions with a variety of international colleagues. Among a variety of professional activities, Elena served as a language and cross-cultural facilitator for American Peace Corps volunteers, teaches university level classes, and is actively involved with several international organizations.
Elena holds MA in Linguistics and Management, and BA in Philosophy. Currently, she is PhD candidate focusing her interest on investigating digital natives’ acquisition of different types of knowledge, in particular surrounding cultural literacy and the impact of video game environments on the formation of intercultural competencies. Elena is bilingual Ukrainian and Russian, speaks fluent English and Spanish, some Portuguese, and she is learning Arabic.
