Founder/Principal of Global Minds

Fernando Parrado, M.S.

Fernando is an engineer and business consultant. He is founder and principal of Global Minds, an intercultural productivity consultancy.

Fernando graduated with two bachelor's degrees from Pontificia Javeriana University in Bogotá, one in electrical engineering and the other in industrial engineering. He left Colombia for the USA to pursue his graduate studies, receiving a master's degree in industrial engineering from the University of Tennessee. During his six years in Tennessee, Fernando marketed US brands to the Latino community, promoted events to engage and bridge the Anglo and Latino communities, and worked in IT for the University of Tennessee. The Knoxville city government and the local Hispano News both honored Fernando for his community contributions.

Fernando's educational background, experience and skills make him uniquely equipped to lead projects that involve optimizing technology and bridging different cultures in an entrepreneurial environment. He has conducted extensive research on the differences between Anglo Saxon and Latin worldviews, communication, business practices and culture. He speaks Spanish, English and Portuguese.
