Thorunn Bjarnadottir
Director of Intercultural Education, International Student and Scholar Services, University of Minnesota.
Thorunn Bjarnadottir is an experienced intercultural trainer who has worked with people from all over the world developing their cultural competency skills. Her passion is to create leadership development processes that help people from different cultures work well together.
Currently, Thorunn serves as the Director of Intercultural Education in the office of International Student and Scholar Services, Global Programs and Strategy Alliance, at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. Thorunn has presented at many conferences and is an active member of the intercultural trainer community.
Thorunn was born and grew up in Iceland, before living and working in Switzerland and the United States. She received her MA in international education from the University of Minnesota. Thorunn lives in Minneapolis with her husband, who is from the Ivory Coast, and their teenage son.
