Banu Golesorkhi, Ph.D.
Director, Research, Pharos International

Banu Golesorkhi is responsible for the Research Centre of Pharos International, a Brussels-based company specializing in intercultural and people dimensions of business globalization. She is responsible for the design and implementation of commissioned research projects globally. Her expertise includes management of international assignments, developing intercultural competence and building trust across cultures. Banu is also a member of the faculty of the IFL-Stockholm School of Economics and University of Antwerp's Management School. She serves on the board of Pepal, a social enterprise that facilitates partnerships between the private and the non-profit sectors to achieve sustainable social change in the developing world. She is also an ambassador for "Send a Cow Uganda", an NGO devoted to a Uganda free of poverty and malnutrition.
Banu has a Doctorate, with Distinction, from the George Washington University in Human and Organizational Learning. She also has a Master's degree in Sociology and a Bachelor's degree in Human Ecology. She was born in Iran and educated in Switzerland and the United States. She currently lives and works in Brussels, Belgium.
