Intercultural Training Consultant and Cross-cultural Coach
Olga Collin, an intercultural training consultant and cross-cultural coach, was born and raised in Ukraine. She has traveled extensively throughout Europe, Asia, and Africa; worked in Germany, the UK, and Italy; and now resides in the United States. Currently, her work focuses on cross-cultural coaching and leadership development, translation and language training, programs for the relocating employees of multinational companies and their families, and repatriation programs for returning assignees.
Olga is a Certified Cultural Detective Facilitator, in addition to being proficient in a variety of instruments she utilizes in designing highly customized sessions for clients. She is an active member of Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research (SIETAR), the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), and the American Translators Association (ATA). As a Ukrainian editor of the SlavFile newsletter published by the ATA, Olga wrote articles on the Ukrainian language and culture.
Olga earned an MA in Translation and Cultural Studies from The Johannes-Guttenberg Universität of Mainz, Germany, with specialization including engineering, manufacturing, marketing, and art. She speaks Ukrainian, Russian, German, and English. Having spent half of her life in Ukraine, she now calls Chicago home where she continues to examine intercultural differences together with her new American family.
